Disney Springs: Aerophile is the only operating attraction at Disney World
When Disney Springs opened this past week there was one ride that returned to Walt Disney World: Aerophile – The World Leader in Balloon Flight.
The balloon ascends 400 feet into the sky providing 360-degree views of Disney Springs and Walt Disney World during the tethered 8-minute balloon ride experience.
The set up has been adapted to deal with new health practices and social distancing. You will be using hand sanitizer before and after filling out your electronic release forms and get an extra spritz before heading on to the balloon.
We kept our masks on as we boarded and groups are already placed in stations around the ring away from others, so there is social distancing built-in.
The views from above give you a good perspective of how expansive the Walt Disney World Resort is actually. The height provides views of Epcot, Hollywood Studios and numerous resorts.
It also gives you a good perspective of the size and layout of Disney Springs.
The ride is quiet and peaceful. You slowly ascend and descend. The feeling of going up and down is not one you would experience in an elevator. Rather, it you kept your eyes closed for a moment the change in height would not register until you open your eyes.
