Disney’s BoardWalk Sets late 2026 Debuts for Waterfront Lounge, New Basin

Disney’s BoardWalk is getting a modern-meets-vintage glow-up, with a brand-new live entertainment lounge and an interactive retail experience slated to debut in late 2026.

A centerpiece of the expansion is Hurly-Burly, a new waterfront lounge designed to mimic a historic seaside theater with a century-old backstory. The venue will pull double duty: operating as a family-friendly hub for trivia and games during the afternoon before transitioning into an upscale, 21-and-over live music space at night serving coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites.

Joining the strip’s retail lineup is Basin on the BoardWalk, a vintage-inspired bath and body shop. Beyond selling all-natural soaps, bath bombs, and botanical salts, the storefront will lean heavily into interactive guest experiences. Shoppers will be able to mix custom blends at a bath tea counter, build their own soap bars, and use an embossing press to personalize their purchases.

Walt Disney World officials also teased that a new quick-service dining location is in the pipeline for the BoardWalk, with details expected to drop later this summer.

The upcoming additions are a long time coming. Storefronts have been left empty on the BoardWalk for some time with the closing of Big River Grille & Brewing Works in January 2024, Jelly Rolls closing in April 2025 and the Promenade Fine Art Gallery in October 2025.
