New Italian restaurant to open inside the Edison at Disney Springs in Disney World
A new Italian restaurant will be part of the Edison in Disney Springs at Disney World, according to the Orlando Weekly.
Maria & Enzo’s is expected to be a new Italian concept which will feature a speakeasy bar element and an underground rum-running tunnel as part of the Edison, is scheduled to open later this year or in 2018.
The new restaurant will be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group, who will also operate the Edison and operates Morimoto Asia, as well as Tutto Italia and Via Napoli in Epcot, and the soon-to-open Edison.
The Edison is being designed as an “Industrial Gothic”-style restaurant, bar and nighttime destination location serving classic American food, and artisanal craft cocktails.
It is being themed to a 1920s-period electric company. There are scheduled to be areas such as The Lab performance space, The Ember Parlour, Telegraph Lounge, The Patent Office, The Tesla Lounge, The Radio Room, and a Waterfront Patio. The Lab performance room will feature entertainment such as contortionists, palm readers and live DJs.
No opening date has been set, but hiring is now taking place for a General Manager, Executive Chef and other key manager positions, according to the Patina Restaurant Group website.
