4 ways to shop Disney Springs when no Disney shops are open

Disney Springs isn’t going to feel right when it partially reopens on May 20.

Without Disney-owned stores, the Springs is basically a sprawling outdoor mall — a pleasant place to take a walk, browse some high-end designer shops and maybe grab lunch, but rather lacking in magic.

But many of the non-Disney-owned stores at the Springs have magical corners of Disney-themed merchandise, if you know where to look.

Here are a few alternatives to our favorite Disney-owned stores at Disney Springs (that is if you can’t wait a week until the World of Disney opens):

If you like the World of Disney: You’ll find a huge selection of souvenir t-shirts and sweatshirts at Uniqlo, and at about half the price of Disney’s offerings. The designs are typically like nothing you’ll find elsewhere around Disney World (even when it’s open), such as a collection of Mickey Manga Art designs and a new selection of villains and princesses designs. You can find Star Wars designs there too.

If you like Ever After Jewelry: Check out the Pandora Jewelry store for jewelry, including Disney-themed charms, bracelets and necklaces. If you’re interested in bags or other accessories, check out Vera Bradley.

If you like the Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane at the Marketplace Co-Op: You won’t find Disney’s dapper-style full-skirted dresses, but Chapel Hats has an extensive collection that will help complete that Disney-bounding look.

If you like Art of Disney: Sugarboo & Co. is one of my favorite shops at Disney Springs, mostly for its warm and whimsical art. There isn’t a strong Disney presence here, but you will find some familiar quotes here and there. Or, try to Pop Gallery, where you can find eye-catching pieces by niche artists, or The Art Corner where you can get some custom art made.
