Lineup announced for Raglan Road’s St. Patrick’s Day festival at Disney Springs

Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Disney Springs is planning on celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a special three-day festival.

Raglan Road’s Mighty Festival kicks off noon, Friday, March 16, 2018, and runs through Sunday, March 18 with eight different bands and a troupe of Irish dancers.

The festival takes place Friday, March 16,  Noon to 1.00 a.m.; Saturday, March 17: 10 a.m.  to 1 a.m.; and  Sunday, March18:  10 a.m. to 1 a.m.

A $10 cover charge will apply to each guest 18 and over on March 17 only.

The bands playing are:

Young Dubliners – A Celtic band that plays rick and Irish infused tunes.

Elevation – One of the most successful U2 tribute bands.

 

The Maguires –  A traditional Irish family band from Wicklow comprises Emma, 17, on fiddle, flute and whistle; Aoife, 15, on concertina and uilleann pipes; Sean, 12, on bodhrán; and their dad, Philip, on guitar.

The Byrne Brothers – A traditional Irish music family from Donegal. They are Luca, 13 (button accordion); Finn, 11 (banjo,mandolin and whistle); Dempsey, 8, (whistle and bodhran); and father Tommy (guitar, Uilleann pipes, fiddle, whistles, bagpipes and bodhran).

The Raglan Roots Coalition -A Celtic bluegrass band with some hip-swingin’, knee-shakin’ breath stealin funky roots beats.

Briste – This female trio includes Emma Robinson (flute, whistle), Joanna Boyle (banjo, vocals) and Alison Crossey (bodhran, guitar) blend rich musical backgrounds creating a fresh and exciting mix of country, folk and Irish traditional music.

Reel Republic  Aisling Egan-Sage (fiddle); Liam O’Keefe (box, vocals); and Coin Foley (guitar, vocals) are Reel Republic, playing a mix of traditional Irish ballads and modern Irish songs.

Out The Gap – Niall McIlroy (guitar, ukulele bass, whistles and flute); Deordre Ni Mheachair (fiddle); and Aidan Byrne (guitar, vox, keys and percussion) make up the pub’s newest house band.

The Raglan Road Dancers plucked from the stages of the most famed Irish Dance shows perform throughout the Mighty Festival.
