A Southwest Airlines Galactic Hero reunites Buzz Lightyear and his buddy

A Southwest Airlines ramp agent in Little Rock, Arkansas entered a plane preparing to close it up for the night when he noticed a Buzz Lightyear figure.

The agent, named Jason, according to Southwest Airlines, knew someone was going to miss their friend, so he started to investigate. As with any Buzz or Woody, you look at the bottom of the boot first. There, Jason saw the name “Hagen.” Jason was on a mission.

He learned there was only one “Hagen” who had traveled that day and on the plane, and Jason came up with a plan, according to Southwest Airlines.

Hagen and his family had landed at Dallas Love Field and where already driving off in a rental car when they realized Hagen’s special buddy was left on the plane. By the time they realized what happened, the plane was already in the air on its way to Little Rock.

But let us remember. No toy gets left behind.

A few days later, Hagen and his family received a special surprise in the mail. Inside a cardboard box with “To Infinity and Beyond,” Space Ranger” and “Not Today Zurg” written on it, was Buzz Lightyear. But, not only Buzz. But a letter written by Buzz to Commander Hagen retelling of his exploits.

I am very excited to return to you upon completing my mission. I was able to explore the airports and spaceport in Little Rock, Arkansas while I was away and have included photos of my adventures. My journey has taught me a lot but I am so thankful to return to my buddy.

“There’s definitely not enough good in this world, and for someone to take the time out of their day to do that for strangers means the world to us,” Ashley, Hagen’s mom, said.

And to Jason – you are definitely a Galactic Hero.
