Man charged with attacking Disney security guard at Animal Kingdom

A South Florida man is charged with attacking a uniformed Disney security guard in the DinoLand U.S.A. section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom last month, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

The man, apparently in a drug-induced rage, was arrested and charged with battery, according to court records. He has pleaded not guilty.

On Oct. 25, the man tackled a uniformed security guard from behind while the guard was on normal patrol. The man put the guard in a headlock and held him down.

According to a police report, theme-park guests pulled the man off the guard until authorities arrived.

The man showed signs of alcohol use, drug use, and heatstroke. This could have caused the aggression, an emergency room doctor said, the report stated.
