Epcot holds three Guinness World Records dealing with food and the record for the longest running daily screening of a film in the same theatre.
The food, you might think, centers around what is served in the theme park since there are now four festivals what seems to be permanent food kiosks around the park. But no. The food records deal with what is grown in the Land Pavilion.
Most tomatoes harvested from one plant in one year
The most tomatoes harvested from a single plant in one year weighed 1,151.84 lbs. The harvest started on May 24, 2005, and ended on April 20, 2006. In total, 32,194 tomatoes were harvested.
Largest cucumber plant
The largest cucumber plant covers an area of 610.31 square feet. The plant was measured in July 2006 on a rectangular trellis measuring 20 feet by 30-feet 6-inches.
Most cucumbers harvested from one plant in one year
The most cucumbers harvested from a single plant in one year weighed 2,078 lbs. The harvest started on March 24, 2006, and ended on July 5, 2006. In total, 2,563 cucumbers were harvested.
Longest running daily film screening
The longest running daily screening of a film in the same theatre is 35 years and goes to Impressions de France shown in the France Pavilion The record was given to the 18-minute film in 2017.
Impressions de France has been shown multiple times every day in the France Pavilion from Oct. 1, 1982, for the past 35 years and counting as of Oct. 1, 2017. This makes it the longest daily running in a single theater, of the same unmodified film of any length, feature or short.
