3 Magic Kingdom shops will have some temporary changes coming

In anticipation of a major refurbishment coming to the Main Street Confectionery starting later this month, two other shops in the Magic Kingdom will be altered as well.

The Main Street Confectionery is the place at the Magic Kingdom to satisfy that sugar fix. But, starting March 29 it will be closed for an extensive refurbishment. No reopening date has yet been announced. There is no indicatin from Disney as to what specifically is being done to the space, whether it is being reconfigured or just updated.

The closing of this shop creates a domino effect. Next door to the confectionery is the Main Street Cinema, home to the Art of Disney. That shop will closed March 22 and and reopen March 29 and will act as a mini confectionery.

The Bonjour Village Gifts, located in Fantasyland and which has been closed for some refurbishment, is expected to reopen on March 22 and will house some of the Art of Disney items in the meantime.
