
4 big things to watch for at Disneyland in May 2022
The return of a dining experience, a new superhero coming to Avengers Campus, a Star Wars celebration and Fantasmic are some of the big things happening at Disneyland this May.
Here’s a closer look at what’s coming:

1. America Chavez comes to Avengers Campus: In May visitors to Avengers Campus at California Adventure Park will be able to meet a new character being introduced in the film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” — America Chavez. She will join Doctor Strange, who is already teaching the next generation of Super Heroes all about the Mystic Arts in the Ancient Sanctum. No specific date has yet been announced.
2. Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge returns: Dining returns starting on May 20 to the Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge balcony at Disneyland. The location offers breathtaking views—including dazzling fireworks when on display. The dinner packages are $60 per guest. The dinner package includes a choice of entrée with side, a dessert selection, and unlimited soft drinks, bottled water, or hot chocolate. Guests are able to stay for the entire evening or come and go as they please.
3. Star Wars Nite: Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite returns on May 3, 4, and 27. The separately ticketed after-hours events include character experiences, fireworks, photo opportunities, dancing, event-themed menu selections, entertainment—including March of the First Order featuring Captain Phasma, Star Wars-themed merchandise, attractions, commemorative keepsakes, décor and more.

4. Fantasmic returns: Disney’s popular and longest-running nighttime spectacular returns to the Rivers of America in Disneyland on May 28. Fantasmic is celebrating its 30th anniversary as Mickey Mouse dreams he is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice and faces dastardly villains, including, the 45-foot-tall, fire-breathing Maleficent dragon. The shows will take place at 9 p.m.and 10:30 p.m.
