Disney World announces closing date for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Disney World has announced the closing date for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith in 2026, to its transformation to a Muppets ride.

The last day of the ride will operate is March 1, 2026 and will then close down and is expected to reopen in the summer as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

The ride will feature Dr. Teeth, Animal, and the rest of the Electric Mayhem. The ride focuses on the Electric Mayhem’s musical hijinks.

The new attraction will put guests directly into the band’s world. The storyline centers on the Electric Mayhem’s biggest concert to date, which they, naturally, are running late for. The adventure kicks off at the newly re-branded G-Force Records, which is now under Muppet management. (Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse – he really puts the G in G-Force).

Guests get an inside look at the recording studio, which has been transformed into a vibrant and psychedelic space full of the Muppets’ signature chaotic charm. Even the penguins from Muppet*Vision 3D have moved from the orchestra pit to the sound board.

In a nod to the band’s legendary leader, Dr. Teeth, the golden key will be featured on the piano motif at the base of the attraction’s iconic giant guitar. The guitar itself is getting a new paint job, inspired by a classic Muppet car design. The adventure culminates in a high-speed limousine chase to get the band to the concert on time, with the Electric Mayhem’s most iconic hits blaring from the limo’s sound system.
