Photos: Figment’s Brush with Masters Scavenger Hunt returns

The Figment Brush with Masters Scavenger Hunt around EPCOT has returned during the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.

This is an official scavenger hunt, unlike the chalk art that can be found around World Showcase, and has a map and a prize. The maps cost $9.99 and can be purchased at several locations, including Port of Entry, World Traveler, Creations Shop, and Gateway Gifts. You can redeem your map when complete, or even before if you prefer for a prize at Disney Traders and World Traveler at International Gateway.. The prize is a paint your own sculpture. You can choose from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse or Figment. Each sculpture comes with a number of paints.

Each of the countries in the World Showcase have a painting featuring Figment. Let’s head around the World Showcase. While I will share which painting can be found in which country, I’m trying to give the exact location of the paintings – after all, this is a Figment scavenger hunt.

Mexico

The above painting is based on Johann Moritz Rugendas’ Landscape Near the Volcano Colima. Figment’s image is seen as smoke coming from the volcano.

Norway

This painting is based on Norwegian tapastries and signage used for the original Maelstrom ride. Figment can be seen on the right side.

China

This is based on the Spring Ox and Cowherd picture with Figment in the right center of the painting.

Germany

Figment is playing cupid based on the painting “Cupid” by Johann Liss 

Italy

Mona Figment based on Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa.”

American Adventure

Figment joins the crew in this painting based on “Washington Crossing the Delaware” by Emanuel Leutze.

Japan

Figment rides this great wave based on the famous “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by Katsushika Hokusai.

Morocco

In this painting, based on the Zellij  – a style of mosaic tilework made from individually hand-chiseled tile pieces that can be found in Morocco – features Figment’s colors.

France

Based on Claude Monet’s “Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge,” Figment looks over the bridge into the water and his reflection.

UK

Figment takes a pose based on Thomas Gainsborough’s “The Blue Boy.”

Canada

Figment takes a walk in the woods in this version of “Deep Woods” by Emily Carr.
