Disneyland extending run of Main Street Electrical Parade into summer of 2017

Disneyland is extending the stay of the Main Street Electrical Parade until August.

The nighttime parade, which has been absent from the park for some time, returned in January was for a limited time to June 28, but that time has been extended. It will now stay through August 20, 2017, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

The parade started at Disneyland in 1972 and ended its initial run in 1996.The parade was performed more than 3,600 times for more than 75 million guests during its original run. From 2001 to 2010 it was renamed Disney’s Electrical Parade and was over at California Adventure.
