Guide to hidden characters, symbols at Journey of Water in EPCOT

The new Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana walk-through attraction at EPCOT not only explains the journey of water in the natural world but also has some hidden surprises with characters from the movie carved into the rocks and waterways.

The attraction seamlessly blends education and entertainment, inviting guests to appreciate the significance of water in our ecosystems while immersing them in the magical world of Moana.

Whether you are looking for Moana, Hei Hei or Pua, there are a number of surprises along the walkways. If you don’t see them during your first visit, head back and get a closer look.

Here’s a guide to the characters and symbols.

The spiral conch-shell on the mountain can be seen as soon as you walk into the attraction.

The sign near the entrance reminds all to take a closer look at the rocks.

At the end of the stream section on the top of the rocks you’ll find Maui’s staff.

As the path splits to dry and wet paths look down at the ground and you will find foot prints. Follow the footprints and you’ll find Hei Hei.

After going through waterfall on the left side you will find the conch above.

Further down there is a seating area where you will see the happy face of Pua the pig.

As you get to the end of the trail take a look at all of the rocks and you’ll see some turtles….

…. and older Moana.

At as the trail gets to the end, after you lead the water by raising your arms like a conductor and jumping you come across a splash area where you will find Kakamora on the walls – water at you.

At the very end of the journey is the famed conch on top of the stack of stones, maring the end of an era of isolation, the end of the film and the end of the Journey of Water.
