Tiana’s Palace opening at Disneyland in September
The reimagined quick-service style Tiana’s Palace restaurant at Disneyland will open on Sept. 7, 2023, paying homage to Tiana’s rich past in New Orleans.
The restaurant is the next step in the changes taking place at New Orleans Square. It all started last year with the opening of Eudora’s Chic Boutique featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets and will continue with the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction in 2024.
The interior of the restaurant takes inspiration from the film “The Princess and the Frog” and includes a large mural of the bayou. Other references include numerous signs, plaques and light fixtures, frog porcelains, cookbooks Tiana has collected on little shelves, and her father’s favorite gumbo spoon proudly on display. There are also letters from her father and neighbors on display, alongside a childhood photo of Tiana.
Below the lit marquee that reads “Tiana’s Palace,” on the exterior, hanging above a metallic gold balcony, is an emerald green wrought iron railing and awnings dyed in yellow and green, reminiscent of Tiana’s beautiful formal ball gown.
The new menu will soon be released, plus guests will be able to use mobile order on the Disneyland app.
