Universal Orlando Resort implementing indoor mask mandates again

Universal Orlando Resort will once again require face coverings at all public indoor locations effective Friday, Dec. 24, 2021, the company announced in an operations update.

This taking place as Orange County, which is where Universal Orlando is located, has been designated as a high transmission area for the COVID-19 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Universal’s mandate is for both guests and team members regardless of vaccination status, including restaurants, shops and indoor hotel public areas.

“Face coverfings are also required at al attractions from the moment guests enter the queue to when they exit the experience. Based on these updates, guests are expected to bring a face covering with them for their visit,” according to Universal.

Universal Orlando had removed its indoor mask requirement for for guests on May 29.
