California Grill at Disney World getting a facelift next year

One of my favorite places to eat at Disney World and my go to place for my anniversary dinner will be closed for six months next year. (Including during my anniversary visit.)

The California Grill at the Contemporary Resort will be closed from Jan. 6, 2013 until late summer in 2013, according to an interview with Chef Brian Piasecki on the Disney Parks Blog.

While, the chef did not give any real specifics on what the renovation will entail, he did say that there will be enhancements to the interactive kitchen and the two private dining rooms will remain.

The menu, he said will still focus on seasonal menus with top-of-the-line sushi. “We’ll be able to give a fresh spin to California Grill classics, and add some cutting-edge new selections to the menu,” he told the blog.
