Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ film delayed now until May 2021
The highly anticipated Marvel movie “Black Widow” is again being delayed due to the coronavirus, Disney announced today.
The film which was supposed to hit theaters on Nov. 6 is being pushed back again to May 7, 2021, which will be one year after it was originally meant to be released.
The movies new release date has a domino effect at this point on two other Marvel releases as well. from what is Marvel’s Studios slate for Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While movie theaters have reopened in the U.S. during the past month, most are operating at a fraction of capacity and theaters are still closed in large urban population areas such as the New York metro area and Los Angeles area.
Here are the changes:
“Black Widow”: The movie will now land in theaters on May 7, 2021. In the film, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”: The film arrives in theaters on July 9, 2021. Simu Liu stars as Shang-Chi, alongside Awkwafina and Tony Leung in a film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
“Eternals”: The film now opens in theaters on Nov. 5, 2021. “Eternals” features a new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the Eternals are ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.
