Reservations open later this year for new Star Wars hotel multi-day vacation experience
Walt Disney World announced that it will start taking reservations later this year for the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel experience which debuts in 2021.
“Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience,” says Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer for Walt Disney Imagineering. “You’re going to live onboard a star cruiser…and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story.”
Think of the two-day, two-night stay at Disney World, right outside of Hollywood Studios, as being on a cruise ship for two days. You will live on the starcruiser.
When you get to the hotel you will be “blast off” into space and dock with your home The Halcyon. Onboard, there will be a number of activities, including a visit to the Bridge to operate the navigation and defense systems, learning how to properly wield a lightsaber like Luke Skywalker learned from Obi-Wan Kenobi and visit the engineering room.
You will also take a shuttle down to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) where you will ride the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. There are rumors that there might be some missions to accomplish while down to the planet as well.
No pricing has yet been announced for this two-day, two-night excursion, but chances are it will include meals as well and be priced as a cruise would be priced.
