Two stores in the Downtown Disney area at Disneyland will be closing to make room for the new hyper-reality Star Wars experience, according to a report in the OC Register.
Disney Vault 28 and Fossil all closed by the end of September 2017, Disneyland officials told the OC Register, to make way for Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire.
The new experience, also coming to Disney Springs in Disney World, will will plunge fans into the Star Wars universe in an “untethered, social, and multi-sensory experience, including interaction with friends, fans, and Star Wars characters,” according to a Lucasfilm press release.
The new experience is scheduled to open in time for the holiday season, Disney has previously said.
No specific location has yet been given at Disney Springs for the new experience.
