Planet Hollywood at Disney World being turned into Planet Observatory

The huge Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney is getting a remake to fit into the new look at Disney Springs and us turning into a four-story stargazing “observatory.”

Set to open in the spring of 2016, the revamped observatory look will be feature a new dining and bar menus with an extended outdoor terrace and bar. The Planet Hollywood Observatory will have a turn-of-the-century design.

Walls and glass displays throughout the space will have imagery and memorabilia from various movies paying homage to a long tradition of filmmaking.

“With Planet Hollywood Observatory, we are refreshing our dining experience as we renew our commitment to the new, rising stars of the entertainment industry — a part of our core mission since inception,” Planet Hollywood International Founder and Chairman Robert Earl said in a news release.
