Disney Junior orders new Mickey Mouse series

As Disney Junior’s popular “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” comes up on its 10th anniversary, Mickey and his friends are getting a spinoff.

Disney Junior has ordered “Mickey and the Roadster Racers,” which is set to debut in 2017. The show expands on the lives of the “sensational six” — Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy — in Hot Dog Hills and follows them on high-speed races around the world. 
Geared towards kids age 2-7, the series will use a combination of CG animation and live-action footage, the network announced today. The stories “are designed to impart social and emotional lessons about friendship, teamwork and good sportsmanship.”
We’re going to go ahead and assume they’re also designed to sell cool toy cars, because take a look at the teaser:
