New Star Wars experiences coming to Disneyland and Disney World in 2015

New Star Wars experiences are coming to Disneyland and Disney World starting later this year as everyone waits for construction to begin on Star Wars Land at the two parks, Disney Parks Chairman Bob Chapek announced at D23EXPO.
These include an interactive experience, a new seasonal event and an addition to Star Tours.
The announcement came at D23EXPO in Anaheim.
Opening later this year at Hollywood Studios at Disney World and Disneyland will be an interactive experience called Star Wars Launch Bay. Here you will be able to learn all about Star Wars and interact with characters, see props and concepts and purchase merchandise.
In addition, later this year, the Jedi Training Acadeny at both parks will also be updated and Star Tours will include a new adventure featuring locations and characters from the upcoming film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
In 2016, Disney is expanding the idea of Star Wars Weekends with a new seasonal event called Season of the Force. There will be special entertainment and themed food locations. At Disneyland, Space Mountain will be reimagined as an X-wing starfighter battle. At Hollywood Studios, there will be new fireworks spectacular set to the iconic score of the Star Wars movies on weekend nights.
