Time to book Sunday brunch at the California Grill
The California Grill is the latest high-end Disney restaurant to start offering Sunday brunch.
“Brunch at the Top” is the third brunch launched around the Seven Seas Lagoon in the past six months. Chef Mickey’s started serving the midday meal daily in May, and Narcoosee’s added a Sunday brunch in November.
It is also the first time the California Grill — with its expansive views of the Magic Kingdom and beyond — has been open to the public for daytime dining.
Reservations for the California Grill’s Brunch at the Top open Wednesday for dates beginning Feb. 7. You can make reservations at DisneyWorld.com/dine or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Cost is $80 or $48 for children ages 3 to 11.
The brunch will feature a Bloody Mary bar, bread basket, small plates in the show kitchen and an entree course, as well as desserts. Here’s a more in-depth look at the experience via the Disney Parks Blog:
Mixmasters top their Bloody Marys with a veritable garden of garnishes — if bacon comes from a garden. Other drink options include a signature brunch cocktail and wine.
Head to the show kitchen for a variety of “small tastes,” including a variety of sushi. Other items you may be able to sample: house-smoked orange honey ham, deviled Lake Meadow Naturals eggs, Greek yogurt with vanilla-scented granola and fresh berries, kale and apple salad, baby iceberg wedge with Cherrywood bacon and avocado-buttermilk Ranch dressing, hardwood smoked salmon, California rolls with jumbo lump crabmeat, spicy tuna rolls and shrimp tempura with orange drizzle and mango.
