‘Oz The Great and Powerful’ leads box office and sequel in the works


Disney’s “Oz The Great and Powerful” led the movie box office in its opening week and and there is already talk of a sequel.

Oz brought in $80.2 million in the U.S., beating out “Jack The Giant Slayer” and “Identity Thief.” Worldwide Oz brought in $150 million, according to boxoffice.com.

In the meantime, Mila Kunis, who plays Theodora in the film said there was a sequel in the pipeline, according to NDTV.

“We’re all signed on for sequels,” Kunis said. Scriptwriter Mitchell Kapner will write the next installment according to the website.
