Brazil’s Adriano Bastos has won his eighth Walt Disney World Marathon.

The 34-year-old athlete finished 16 second before Fredison Costa, who beat Bastos the past two years.

Bastos, who trains with Costa, said the two-year drought was extra motivation coming into this year’s race, especially given that it was the 20th annual event.

“It was extra motivation, for sure,” Bastos, wearing a Donald Duck hat, said through an interpreter, according to a Disney World news release.

Bastos, whose goal is to win 10 Disney Marathons, broke the tape at 2:21:16, while Costa finished at 2:21:32.

More than 25,000 runners participated in a variety of events for the special 20th anniversary of the run.

Renee High of Virginia Beach, Va. was the first female to cross the finish line at 2:48:30.

In the men’s Masters division, Ronnie Holassie of Miramar, Fla., came in first with a time of 2:25:26. Wendy Nixon of Windermere, Fla., was the first female across the finish line at 3:22:14.

In the wheelchair division, Krige Schabort of Cedartown, Ga., took the men’s title 1:52:52 and Jacqui Kapinowski of Tequesta, Fla., grabbed the women’s crown 2:32:50.
