Disney’s Magical Express adds an hour to get you to airport for departure
Due to enhanced Transportation Security Administration security measures Disney’s Magical Express will now pick up guests an hour earlier than before.
Starting Nov. 17, 2017, Disney’s Magical Express is scheduling pickup approximately four hours prior to flight departure for both domestic and international flights. Previously it was three hours for domestic and four hours for international flights.
The change has come due to Orlando International Airport advising travels to arrive at least three hour prior to department.
In October the TSA began implementing new, stronger screening procedures for carry-on items at Orlando International Airport. The new procedures require travelers to place all electronics larger than a cell phone in bins for X-ray screening in standard lanes.
TSA officers will be asking travelers to remove electronics larger than a cell phone from their carry-on bags and place them in a bin with nothing on top or below, similarly to how laptops have been screened for years.
“To ensure that you do not miss your flight, motorcoach departure times are scheduled approximately 4 hours prior to your flight departure time—both for domestic flights and international flights. Please note that it is your responsibility to bring your luggage to the departure point. Bell service luggage assistance is available upon request,” Disney states on its website.
