Disney World rides, resorts, restaurants closed, refurbishments in November

While many rides, dining locations and shops have reopened at Walt Disney World since its reopening there are still a number of locations that are closed, including some favorites.

And, with the exception of the water cavalcades, there are no character meet and greets taking place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There are also limited performances and no nighttime show. 

So, here’s a look at what is closed and what will be undergoing refurbishment.

MAGIC KINGDOM

ATTRACTIONS

  • Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station – Closed
  • Enchanted Tales with Belle – Closed
  • Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade – Closed
  • Liberty Square Riverboat – Closed for refurbishment, reopening scheduled for March 1, 2021.
  • Monsters, Inc. – Closed
  • Tom Sawyer Island – Closed for refurbishment, reopening scheduled for March 1, 2021.
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover – Closed for refurbishment, reopening is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2021.
  • Walt Disney World Railroad – Closed during the construction of the new Tron attraction being built. The trains and tracks are being refurbished and moved.

Water Parks

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are currently closed. Disney plans to reopen one of the two water parks on March 7, 2021.

  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – Scheduled to reopen in Summer 2021

  1. We were at Disney last week. It’s a mess. Disney does a wonderful job of managing big crowds but not managing the smaller crowds. My observations: too few restaurants open, lines snaked all over the place and finding the end of one like a treasure hunt, shortened park hours, too many closed attractions, BTW regular prices charged.
