Electric Umbrella’s last day of operation at Epcot is Feb. 15
Disney World has been closing and in some instances relocating a number of shops in Epcot as construction progresses for the major Epcot makeover. This weekend the Electric Umbrella will serve its last meals.
The quick-service restaurant will serve its last meals on Feb. 15 and will close on Feb. 16. The restaurant’s name came into existence in 1994 when The Stargate Restaurant was transformed into the Electric Umbrella.
Also closing on Feb. 16 will be Pin Central and all of the surrounding merchandise carts. There will be two new walkways created when you enter the park, to allow for demolition.
When you enter the park you will either be able to go to the right of Spaceship Earth to head to The Seas with Nemo and Friends, The Land and the Imagination pavilions or take the left walkway between Gateway Gifts and Guest Relations to get to Mission: Space, Mouse Gear and to Test Track when it reopens.
