Downtown Disney getting 1 new restaurant another expanding

Downtown Disney at Disneyland is getting one new restaurant while another will expand.

This holiday season a new concept from Earl Enterprises, the same restaurant group that brings you Earl of Sandwich and other popular eateries, is coming called Asian Street Eats by Chef Hung Huynh, Disney announced.

This will be a take-out window service featuring mixed rice bowls, scallion pancake wraps, pot stickers, kids’ meals, Japanese teas and sodas, plus strawberry or mango mochi for dessert.

Chef Hung, who if you remember won Season 3 of Bravo’s “Top Chef,”  is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has worked with legendary chefs in some of the most prestigious restaurants in the United States.

The second change involves Jamba Juice. The company announced a change to its name simply to Jamba. The store will change its name and close for renovations later this year for a new look and larger store in 2020.

The new store will have light wood and colorful environmental elements as well as digital menus and an even better online ordering experience through the new Jamba mobile app with in-store “grab-and-go” coolers for seamless online order pick-up.
