Photos: Land cleared for new Star Wars hotel, infrasructure ​work begins

The land for the new Star Wars hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort is clear and work on the site’s infrastructure is starting, according to recent aerial photos taken by @bioreconstruct.

Work on the hotel, which is scheduled to open in 2021, is taking place as the first phase of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios is scheduled to open on Aug. 29.

The new hotel, located just outside Hollywood Studios will feel like you are staying on a starship with stories and characters. This location will allow the experience to be seamlessly connected to the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land when you head down to Batuu for multi-day experiences, Disney has previously said. This sounds like a two or three-day excursion, similar to a Disney Cruise.

During the time all are encouraged to dress in Star-Wars inspired attire. Every resort window will have a view of space.
