Disney’s Blizzard Beach hosts one of the ‘World’s Largest Swimming Lesson’
Nearly 200 people showed up at Disney’s Blizzard Beach to take part in the 10th annual “World’s Largest Swimming Lesson” Thursday morning at Disney World.
The purpose of “World’s Largest Swimming Lesson’’ is to educate families on the importance of learning to swim.
Three-time Olympic gold medal swimmer Rowdy Gaines kicked off the lesson, where children of all ages learned basic swim strokes. Children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America were among those who participated.

Of the 83 sites in Florida, Disney’s Blizzard Beach was one of the largest. The global event was staged at various locations in 28 different countries over the course of 24 hours.
