Get a look at Disney World’s 50th-anniversary plans on GMA this Friday

Disney said it plans to unveil its first look at the Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Friday, Feb. 19.

“Good Morning America” begins at 7 a.m. ET. You can always check back with use in the morning for the details.

Disney also released a small video in advance.

Walt Disney World started welcoming guests on Oct. 1, 1971, when it opened the Magic Kingdom. The resort also had two hotels, the Contemporary Resort Hotel and Polynesian Village. The Palm and Magnolia golf courses opened a few weeks before and Fort Wilderness opened one month later.

The park was dedicated by Walt’s brother, Roy O. Disney, 24 days after the park opened to the public.
