Disney releases ‘Beauty and the Beast’ live action trailer
Disney has released an extended trailer of the upcoming live-action version of “Beauty and The Beast” starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as The Beast.
The movie, coming out March 17, 2017, is the remake of the 1991 animated film. Now, the new film will have a lot to live up to since the original film was the fist animated film ever to be nominated for Best Picture.
The movie follows the journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who loves books, remember books, and is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.
Eventually she looks beyond the Beast’s exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. Also in the movie is Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle and Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp. Kevin Kline plays Maurice, Belle’s eccentric father.
