Giant New Bluey Balloon to Debut at the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Get ready to see everyone’s favorite Heeler family in a whole new dimension high above the streets of New York City.
BBC Studios and Macy’s have announced that a brand-new, giant Bluey balloon inspired by the beloved fan-favorite “Christmas Swim” episode will take flight as part of the landmark 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The holiday-themed balloon draws direct inspiration from the memorable backyard BBQ scene, featuring Bluey wearing her festive Christmas crown and pulling crackers with the family. Designed by Ludo Studio and brought to life by the master artists at Macy’s Parade Studio, this massive new addition measures an impressive 47 feet long, 27.8 feet wide, and 47.2 feet tall.
Even better? Melanie Zanetti and Dave McCormack—the voices behind everyone’s favorite parents, Mum (Chilli) and Dad (Bandit)—will be heading to New York to experience the milestone parade firsthand.
“Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade creates tradition and can’t-miss holiday celebrations for millions of fans around the world,” said Jordan Dabby, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade producer. “As one of the world’s most beloved characters, Bluey has captured the hearts of families across generations. We are thrilled to welcome her back for our 100th Parade…”
“Bluey and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade share something special: they bring generations together,” added Suzy Raia, EVP of Global Consumer Products at BBC Studios.
Bluey is no stranger to the Thanksgiving festivities, having first debuted in the parade in 2022, followed by her iconic red Keepy Uppy balloon and a surprise appearance by everyone’s favorite Grannies, Rita and Gladys, in 2024.
As fans gear up for the holidays, you can stream all your favorite episodes—including “Christmas Swim” and “Veranda Santa”—on Disney+, or catch the series on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel. Bluey is a fan-favorite presence at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and the Disney Cruise Line. Next year a new The Bluey Movie heads to theaters on Aug. 6, 2027.
In addition to Bluey, a new Disney giant parade balloon featuring Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey is also being introduced this year.
