Disneyland Paris doubles in size: ‘World of Frozen’ opens March 2026
Disneyland Paris is on the cusp of its most significant transformation in decades, heralding a “bold new era” with the grand opening of World of Frozen on March 29, 2026, at the newly renamed Disney Adventure World.
This historic expansion marks the beginning of a complete reimagining that will nearly double the size of the second park, replacing over 90% of its previous offerings since 2002. The overhaul includes an immense lake, a spectacular new nighttime show, a Tangled-inspired attraction, and a staggering 15 new dining locations.
The highly anticipated World of Frozen will transport guests directly into the magical kingdom of Arendelle. Set against the backdrop of the towering North Mountain and Elsa’s Ice Palace, the new land will feature:
- Frozen Ever After: A family boat ride journeying through iconic film scenes with lifelike Audio-Animatronics.
- Royal Encounter: A chance to meet Queens Anna and Elsa inside Arendelle Castle.
- “A Celebration in Arendelle”: A vibrant daytime show staged on Viking longships in Arendelle Bay.
- Nordic Crowns Tavern: Quick-service dining inspired by Nordic design.
The land promises next-generation storytelling, complete with new music composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Beyond Arendelle, the park’s journey begins on the vibrant Adventure Way, a new promenade leading guests into the heart of their favorite stories.
- Raiponce Tangled Spin: This new family attraction, inspired by Tangled, invites guests to whirl in gondolas beneath a sky of floating lanterns, accompanied by the song “I See the Light.” Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel, recorded exclusive audio announcements.
- The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge: Offering refined table-service dining with stunning murals of Disney Princesses. Guests can meet characters like Belle, Merida, and Jasmine. The elegant lounge will be the first bar located in either Disneyland Paris park, offering signature cocktails and breathtaking views of Adventure Bay.
Adventure Way will also feature 14 new culinary stops and lush, themed gardens, including the romantic Tangled Garden and the playful Toy Story Garden. Seasonal live entertainment, from a Rapunzel and Flynn encounter to the lively Disney Marching Band, will bring the promenade to life.
As the final element of the transformation, Adventure Bay will host a groundbreaking new nighttime spectacular, “Disney Cascade of Lights.” This 360° show will serve as the nightly grand finale, featuring:
- A ballet of hundreds of drones
- Choreographed fountains and water screens
- Pyrotechnics and a powerful orchestral score.
The show, inspired by stories from Mulan, Moana, Up, and the Marvel Universe, will integrate a revolutionary aquatic drone system alongside next-generation aerial drones, promising a stunning celebration of courage and imagination.
