Adults-only lounge at Spaceship Earth gets a name
The new adults-only lounge that will open later this year as part of Spaceship Earth is being named GEO-82, Disney announced today.
While no explanation of the name was provided it is quite obvious that the GEO represents geodesic sphere that is Spaceship Earth and the 82 is the year EPCOT opened.
When GEO-82 opens this year, the location will offer reservations for guests 21 and older. This lounge will be the ultimate spot to toast to a trip around EPCOT with innovative cocktails and globally influenced small plates while taking in park views.
“With this new lounge, you’ll feel like you’re discovering an all-new part of Spaceship Earth – GEO-82 will surround you with iconic shapes and intricate structures inspired by the park’s instantly-recognizable icon. You’ll sit amid rich textures and warm, metallic tones that echo Spaceship Earth in an elegant and intimate setting,” Disney stated on the Disney Parks Blog.
This will be the first of two lounges opening around Disney World. The second will be a pirates themed lounge at the Magic Kingdom near the Prates of the Caribbean attraction. that will be open for the whole family, according to Disney. Here, “bandits and buccaneers-to-be from every corner of the seven seas are welcome to join together and raise a toast to the pirate life!” according to Disney,.
No opening dates for either lounge have been announced.
