Maybe it’s because March is Women’s History Month, but Disney has launched an extensive “Women of the Galaxy” collection celebrating the heroic women of the Star Wars universe.
The collection, which is available both in the parks and on shopDisney, includes Leia, Rey, Ahsoka Tano, Padme Amidala, Rose Tico and Hera Syndulla. BB-8 makes an appearance as well. (I’m thrilled to see Hera included, but I feel like the fabulous Sabine Wren and Bo-Katan Kryze got short shrift. Maybe next year?)
The art has a hand-drawn, comic book quality that appears across all of the items. There are 2 Spirit Jerseys, one for adults and one for kids, but there’s something different about these: they’re cropped. This is the first time I’ve noticed cropped Spirit Jerseys (though I’ve been begging Disney for short sleeved styles for years — instead, we get short bodies).
