EPCOT opening at 8:30 a.m. for first half of March 2022

In an unprecedented move Disney World is opening EPCOT at 8:30 a.m. starting tomorrow, Feb. 28 through March 19, according to the Disney World calendar.

The super early opening is something that has not taken place after the reopening of the park, or prior to COVID-19 outbreak. In the past, the park would have opened first at 9 a.m. with the former Future World area and the World Showcase then opening at 11 a.m.

Now the entire park will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. And, for resort guests, early entry is at 8 a.m.

The extended hours seems to be taking place in anticipation of heavy crowds, especially with Frozen Evert After moving from Individual Lightning Lane to Disney Genie+.
