Disney reveals medals for 2022 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend

The medals for the inaugural Springtime Surprise Weekend running event at Walt Disney World have been revealed.

The theme of this running event will change every year. This year it’s being called the Disney Springtime Surprise Weekend: Celebrates Yestermorrow and takes from some of the all-time favorite runDisney events and combines with new ones.

This four-day race experience, which takes place March 31 to April 3, 2022, includes a 5K, 10K, 10-miler and there is a special challenge medal for finishing all three races.

Here’s a look at the races:

Expedition Everest 5K

There is a 3.1-mile nighttime run and scavenger hunt through Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of the Expedition Everest 5K.

Race For the Taste 10K

This 6.2-mile Ratatouille”-inspired course goes around Walt Disney World Resort.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler

This 10-mile event through the Walt Disney World Resort features Goofy dropping in on the infamous Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Springtime Surprise Challenge

Earn four medals as part of the inaugural runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge. Runners who make their way through all three of the weekend’s events, for a total of 19.3 miles, can look to earn a special “challenge” medal.
