Portillo’s officially opens today in Lake Buena Vista
Portillo’s, known for its Chicago-style Hot dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches, and Chocolate Cake, is officially opening in Lake Buena Vista.
Located in the Village at O-Town West in Orlando – 7715 Palm Parkway at the intersection of Palm Parkway and Daryl Carter Blvd. – the 7,800-square-foot restaurant opens to the public at 10:30 a.m. It is located a few miles east of Walt Disney World. And, depending upon which hotel you are staying in, you might be able to get the food delivered.
A quick check found that most of the resorts are in the area for delivery. Those on the west side of Disney World are out of luck for now.
This is the third Florida Portillo’s. The others are located in Tampa and Brandon. This is the 63rd store for the company and the company plans to expand more into the Orlando area as well as around Florida in the next ext five to 10 years.
The restaurant features double drive-thru lanes as well as two large covered outdoor patios. The interior, all are unique to their area, features a diner theme with an ode to rock’n roll with an electric guitar installed on the ceiling.
To help launch the new restaurant, Portillo’s designed a limited-edition T-shirt for this location. Guests are invited to sign up for Portillo’s Birthday Club to receive one of these shirts on opening day, while supplies last. Fans who sign up also receive a slice of Portillo’s homemade chocolate cake on their birthday.
