Epcot reopening July 15 with a modified food and wine festival
Epcot will be reopening on July 15, 2020, with a modified version of “The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.”
The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival has been an a fall staple at Walt Disney World since 1995. While the festival will not return in its entirety, Disney is planning on a modified festival experience called “A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!”
The changes are taking place as Disney follows new health and safety measures. The food festival will run through the fall offering over 20 signature global marketplaces like Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean, spaced out around the park.
In addition, there will be a some Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival sprinkled around the park, since the festival was cut short when the park closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The newest topiary, Remy, will be in the France pavilion with Flower & Garden merchandise. For scavenger hunt fans, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt returns. And stay tuned as Food & Wine merchandise will be released after the festival begins.
While the food kiosks are returning, the “Eat to the Beat Concert Series,” is being canceled in an effort to accommodate proper physical distancing. However, there will be music to enjoy at America Gardens Theatre with local EPCOT entertainment such as Mariachi Cobre, the JAMMitors and more.
The bands will spread out their performances throughout the day, giving audiences more options to enjoy them.
