Disney World: Attractions and more ‘may be modified’ when resort reopens
Walt Disney World released a new update today stating that when the resort reopens capacity will be limited and modifications on attractions and experiences could take place.
The update, on Disney World’s website, was released the same day Disney announced Disney Springs will reopen starting May 20 with a limited number of shopping and dining experiences that are operated by third-party vendors.
Even though parts of Disney Springs will reopen, the theme parks, water parks and hotels will remain temporarily closed until further notice.
When the resort reopens, “theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings may be modified and will be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure, based on direction from health experts and government officials to promote physical distancing.
“Additionally, attractions, experiences, services and amenities may have limited availability or may remain closed. We will provide more information as it becomes available. We reserve the right to cancel any reservations, admission media or purchases and provide applicable refunds,” according to the site.
Disney added it is also evaluating new and enhanced safety measures. Some of those measures have been outlined by Disney Parks Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pamela Hymel in an open letter to the public.
I am anxious for Walt Disney World to open – would love to visit mid October!!!! coming from Canada
