13 major events happening in the Fall at Disneyland, Disney World and in the Disney Universe

Fall also seems to start a bit earlier each year. While the first day of Fall is Sept. 22, this year on the Disney Calendar it begins Aug. 25, 2017 with the start of the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

In honor of an early Halloween,  here are 13 major events taking place in Fall 2017 at Disneyland, Disney World and in the Disney Universe.

Now until Sept. 30 (Disney World): Disney World annual passholders can purchase a 1-Day Magic Your Way Park Hopper tickets for $79 plus tax. The passholder can purchase up to six tickets. However, these can only be purchased at theme park Guest Relation locations and ticket windows. The Passholder must be president with a valid annual pass card and a photo ID. More details here.

Now until Sept. 30 (Disney World): Disney Vacation Club members can get 30 percent discount at 10 restaurants at Disney World as long as they eat before 6:30 p.m. or after 8:30 p.m. Here is the complete list.

Aug. 25 (Disney World): Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off. For 32 select nights beginning on Aug. 25, the Magic Kingdom will host this event from 7 p.m. tomidnight (not included with regular park admission). Highlights include Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade; Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular; Happy HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular. Specific dates and prices are here. Aug. 31 – Sept. 3 (Disneyland): The Disneyland Half Marathon weekend takes place with kids races, a 5K, a 10K and a Half Marathon.

Aug. 31 – Nov. 13 (Disney World): The 22nd Annual Epcot international Food & Wine Festival kicks off for a record 75 days. More than 35 specialized marketplace – celebrating 35 years of Epcot – will be all around the park where guests can pair wines, beers and ciders with food. Get the complete menus here.

Celebrity and Disney chefs will present culinary demonstrations, and beverage experts will host daily wine tastings and seminars. ABC’s “The Chew” returns to Epcot to tape a week’s worth of shows Oct. 4-6.

Some 32 musical acts are set to perform during the popular Eat to the Beat concerts as well. The complete schedule is here.

Sept. 1 – 4: (Disney World): The famed Great Irish Hooley music festival at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant at Disney Springs takes place. The Labor Day weekend events celebrates Irish song, dance, food and drink. The Hooley kicks off with performances starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1.

Sept. 8 and 9: (Disney World): The Night of Joy Concert series weekend takes place with a line-up of Christian music at the stages of ESPN Wilde World of Sports Complex. On Friday, Sept. 8 artists TobyMac, MercyMe, Zach Williams, Natalie Grant, Danny Gokey will perform on the Champion Stadium stage, while Matt Maher, Colton Dixon and Rend Collective will play inside the HP Field House, all starting at 5 p.m.

On Saturday night headliners Amy Grant and Steven Curtis Chapman, along with Kirk Franklin and Jordan Feliz perform at Champion Stadium, with Crowder, Jeremy Camp and Tye Tribbett taking the stage at the HP Field House. More information can be obtained here. , check out NightofJoy.com or call 407-W-DISNEY (934-7639).

Sept. 10 (DVC Members): Starting on this day phone hours now extend for Member Service Advisors from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time on weekdays and 9 to 7 p.m. on weekends. This expands the hours by 90 minutes.

Sept. 15 – Oct. 31 (Disneyland): Disneyland puts on its Halloween hat where various events are taking place throughout California Adventure and Disneyland parks, including: The Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street, and Cars Land turning Radiator Springs into Radiator Screams at California Adventure. At Disneyland, the Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy return.

Sept. 15 – Nov. 2 (Disneyland): A new seasonal experience kicks off at California Adventure celebrating the upcoming movie “Coco. This new immersive celebration will include special entertainment featuring musicians and dancers, activities including a representation of iconic Mexican folk art, and special décor and food. Select elements of the celebration will move to “a bug’s land” beginning Sunday, Nov. 5, where they will be presented alongside a special sneak peek of the film, which continues through the holiday season until Jan. 7, 2018.

Guests who cruise into Cars Land between Sept. 15 to Oct. 31, 2017, will find that Ramone, one of the citizens of Cars Land, also pays tribute to Día de los Muertos. Ramone celebrates this time when families gather to remember their loved ones with a full-sized Sugar Skull Car and a traditional “ofrenda” display honoring the gone, but not forgotten, Doc Hudson.

Disneyland Park will continue to offer its traditional Día de los Muertos skeleton display in Frontierland, from Sept. 15 to Nov. 2, 2017.

Nov. 2 – 5 (Disney World): The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend returns, coinciding with the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The food- and fitness-inspired weekend includes runDisney Kids Races, a 5K and a 10K. The weekend concludes with the Sunday half marathon that takes participants through multiple Disney theme parks and culminates at Epcot. Later that night, runners enjoy a festive and exclusive after-hours party in the park.

TBA (Disney World): Terralina Crafted Italian is scheduled to open at Disney Springs. This new dining experience will feature dishes inspired by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano. This entirely new restaurant is being built in the location formerly occupied by Portobello Country Italian Trattoria Terralina’s menu will present authentic Italian cuisine cooked in Chef Tony’s signature olive oil imported directly from Italy. The restaurant’s wood-burning oven will fire up a selection of artisanal, hand-tossed pizzas and fresh vegetable dishes. Fan favorites from Portobello Country Italian Trattoria such as the antipasti platter and signature pasta dishes will remain on the menu.

TBA (Disney World): The new Grand Avenue area of Hollywood Studios, combining the former Streets of America and the Muppets Courtyard is scheduled to open.
