Your guide to Disneyland’s 2018 holiday events

The holiday season takes place at the Disneyland Resort from Nov. 9, 2019 through Jan. 6, 2019 with a number of special festivities, fireworks and entertainment.

The Festival of Holidays honors the sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas/Navidad, Hanukkah, Diwali and Kwanzaa and Three Kings Day, is celebrated at Disney California Adventure for an additional two days, running through Jan. 8, 2019.

Whether you want to experience snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., or see the glistening décor, or much on the Disney-themed treats, the two parks will be transformd for the holidays. This include the transformation of two favorite rides, the it’s a small world Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Here’s the breakdown of what you will find at each park:

California Adventure

Festival of Holidays: The Festive Foods Marketplace will feature a mix of holiday dishes and beverages from a varietty of cultures and family traditions.

The special entertainment that will be taking place at the festival includes musical and dance performances by the Holiday Toy Drummers, Mostly Kosher, Blue13 Dance Company, The Sound, and the Mariachi Divas.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad!: The Three Caballeros host the popular street party celebration, featuring folklórico and samba dancers, live musicians, and Mickey and Minnie in their fiesta best.

Princess Elena’s Musical Grand Arrival: Princess Elena of Avalor, her magical friend Skylar and royal dancers as they share the joy of the holidays in this charming musical celebration.

Cars Land holiday makeover: This area of the park gets a holiday makeover which each location getting a special makeover thar reflects the personality of the “Cars” character. In addition, two of the rides also get special holiday makeover, Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.

Enjoy the tree: A 50-foot Christmas tree adorns Carthay Circle along Buena Vista Street. The tree and surrounding buildings, inspired by Los Angeles as it appeared when Walt Disney arrived in the 1920s, are decorated with vintage-style ornaments.

Meet Santa: Guests can enjoy special holiday-themed activities with Santa Claus and his sleigh full of mischievous elves at Santa’s Holiday Visit at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail through Dec. 24. From Dec. 25 through Jan. 6, guests may encounter Santa Goofy in this festive location. At night, you might experience a little snowfall in the area.

At Disneyland Park

Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle: At night, the castle is transformed with shimmering icicles and twinkling lights.

Special fireworks:  The “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular and its magical snowfall finale return.

“A Christmas Fantasy” parade: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, the Disney Princesses and Santa celebrate the season in a daily procession with floats, music and marching “tin soldiers.”

The tree: The Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. will have a 60-foot tall Christmas Tree nearly 1,800 ornaments. The tree is a picturesque sight where friends and family gather to take holiday photos each year.

“it’s a small world:” This favorite attraciton is transformed into “it’s a small world” Holiday with dolls and toys representing children around the world enjoying the distinctive holiday traditions of their countries.

Haunted Mansion Holiday: The Haunted Mansion, which was transformed for Halloween with Jack Skellington and his friends from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” remains until the end of the year as Halloween and Christmas collide.
