Disney World pulls Starbucks Epcot mug

An exclusive Starbucks coffee mug sold at Epcot at is being pulled by Disney World because it includes a purple stripe monorail, according to a report on News 13.

The mug was just released in early January as part of a “You are Here” collection. Disney’s Monorail Purple was involved in a deadly 2009 crash in which Monorail Pink backed into the purple train, killing its pilot, 21-year-old Austin Wuennenberg. Since then Disney retired both purple and pink striped monorails.

eBay is now filled with many of the mugs bidding between $100 and $300.
