Disney adding Mickey Mouse, Lion King and Incredibles experiences for 2019

Disney World will be adding nearly a dozen new experiences as the year kicks off in 2019.

Starting on Jan. 18, new experiences will be added or expanded at all four theme parks at Walt Disney World resort, including new Mickey Mouse experience, Incredibles experiences, a new Lion King party and expansion of the Broadway concert series at the Festival of the arts.

Magic Kingdom – Mickey Mouse

Starting Jan. 18, 2019, the Magic Kingdom will honor Mickey and Minnie Mouse with a new Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration, which will bring new music, dancing and all sorts of other fun to Magic Kingdom.

This includes the new Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party” at Magic Kingdom Park invite you to dance with Mickey, Minnie and their pals in front of Cinderella Castle. Shake it along with live singers belting out new arrangements of classic “Mickey Mouse Club” songs. The current parade will end Dec. 1. 

The Dapper Dans and other entertainers on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park will sing songs in honor of Mickey and Minnie.

And, there will be special  Mickey- and Minnie-themed merchandise and food .

Disney is also promising more Limited-Time Magic entertainment and other experiences to pop up periodically around Magic Kingdom Park.

Hollywood Studios – Incredibles

Pixar Place at Hollywood Studios is being renovated into a Metroville city for the Incredibles.  At the end of the block, a party will be held in honor of Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone to celebrate their Super deeds.

You will be able to meet Edna Mode in a special location that will showcase some of her best creations.

And you’ll be able to look for clues to the whereabouts of the mischievous and multi-powered Jack-Jack.

Also at Hollywood Studios, Mike and Sulley will be available for a meet and greet inside Wal Disney Presents.

Animal Kingdom – Lion King

You will be able to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “The Lion King” at Animal Kingdom with Timon and Rafiki in a new the “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party” on Discovery Island.

In addition, new special three-dimensional photo opportunities re-creating scenes from the animated classic will be around the park.

Also at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, have fun posing in front of special three-dimensional photo opportunities re-creating scenes from the animated classic.

Artists will showcase their talents during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, returning Jan. 18-Feb 25, 2019, at Walt Disney World Resort. The Epcot International Festival of the Arts returns from Jan,. 18 to Feb. 25, 2019, and the Disney on Broadway Concert Series will be expanded to seven days a week during the Festival of the Arts.
