Photos: Inside the renovated World of Disney Store at Disney Springs
A section of World of Disney Store at Disney Springs in Disney World has reopened as another part of the massive building is now under renovation.
A large portion of the store has been under renovation since February as Disney plans changes to all of its stores nationwide.
Gone are the colorful displays, carpets and the items hanging from the ceiling. In its place is a simple open-aired location with brick walls and wood (either tile or laminate) floors. The interior fits in with the general brick, industrial look of Disney Springs.
The new open side contains home goods; toys and plushies, including fun Disney-inspired games such as Life, Monopoly, Tower of Terror Clue and Pirates of the Caribbean Battleship; the back wall has a large Minnie Mouse dots inspired apparel and one side is full of rgraphic t-shirts.
The entire renovation will be complete by the fall, according to signs in the story. Some cast members said there will be some surprises when the store re-opens completely.
