New experiences coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2018

Disney World is adding some new experiences and some new treats for this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.

The party is an extra ticketed event and takes place on select nights from August 17 through October 31, 2018.

Here’s the schedule of times.

Here’s what Disney has announced they are adding:

On Space Mountain, explorers will hurtle through deep space as a new soundtrack and special effects transform the adventure.

On Pirates of the Caribbean, there will be some new pirates invading the experience and  interacting with sailing guests who will join the search for “Gunpowder Pete.”

On The Mad Tea Party, new lighting and effects will debut. Depending on the color of your costume, you too could transform under the new dancing lights.

At Storybook Circus, there will be a new dance party.  The Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam dance party will feature Disney Junior Characters, including Doc McStuffins.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets start at $75 in advance or $85 at the gate.

There will be 34 of these parties taking place:

  • August 17, 24, 28, 31
  • September 3, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
  • October 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30, 31

Returning this year will be the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show in front of Cinderella Castle featuring the mischievous Sanderson sisters from the hit Disney film “Hocus Pocus,” , Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade and “Happy HalloWishes,” the fall spectacular led by the infamous Disney villains.

There will also be the trick or treating throughout the park, which is a bit tricky if you go in August or early September, as high temperatures mean melted chocolate, so go at night. (Here are some other tips if you plan on attending the party.)
