New food, music and premium packages coming to 2015 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
New details have been released about the upcoming 20th anniversary of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival .
The festival takes place at Disney World from Sept. 25 to Nov. 16, 2015
and will feature new dishes, new concert acts and new events.
Here are some specifics:
New food: The two dozen marketplaces around the the World Showcase will have some new recipes such as Seared Venison Loin with Wild Mushroom Ragout and Kumara Dumpling at the New Zealand Marketplace; Grilled Sweet and Spicy Bush Berry Shrimp with Pineapple, Peppers, Onions and Snap Peas at the Australia Marketplace; Pepper Bacon Mac ‘n Cheese at the Farm Fresh Marketplace and Scottish Citrus Thistle at the Scotland Marketplace.
New music: The annual Eat of the Beat concert debuts four new acts this year – Tiffany, Everclear, Maxi Priest and Chaka Khan – at the America Gardens Theatre stage.
New scavenger hunt: Go on a scavenger hunt around the World Showcase as part of the Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak. The goal is to gin the little Remy statuettes hidden around the park.
New premium events: Yes, there are ways to spend some extra money for the “French Family Meal Traditions” lunch on Fridays and Sundays; the “Rockin’ Burger Block Party” on select dates; and new beverage events to include “Exploring Wines from 1996 to Now” that salutes the festival’s 20th year.
